Discover the delicious world of artisan cheese with Chef Laura, whose approachable, “why-focused” teaching style brings depth and clarity to this timeless craft. Trained at a farmstead dairy in Vermont and with experience launching an artisan creamery in Australia, Chef Laura offers both expertise and warmth to first-time cheesemakers and curious cooks alike.
In this hands-on class, you’ll learn the fundamentals of home cheesemaking using a variety of milks. Together, we’ll make whole milk ricotta, tangy marinated feta, and a selection of goat cheeses—with plenty of tips and professional techniques to ensure success from the start.
After the cheesemaking, we’ll sit down together to enjoy a seasonal lunch featuring your creations: fresh Farmer’s Market salad, rustic bread, and pasta cooked in flavorful whey. You’ll head home with recipes, techniques, written materials, and your own jar of marinated feta.
